Minority Scholarships In India At Learning with Vodafone Idea

General Scholarship Schemes


Merit-cum-means based scholarships are offered to students belonging to minority communities in India. Few private organisations like Vodafone Idea Foundation are encouraging students and teachers to avail these financial aids. Based on the economic and caste-based backgrounds, these scholarships are available for teachers and students across the country. They are further segmented based on the pre-requisites such as class, medium of education, state etc.


 Student Scholarships


MOMA scholarships allow the students to have a hindrance free educational experience. They are mainly merit-based and caste-based scholarships. Caste-based scholarships are those which offer a student financial support based on their caste background and income status.


The students are also eligible to avail free scholarships in India, based on the merit at schooling, college, PG, or PhD levels. For this, the student must maintain a certain level of merit at their institution as proof of the desire to learn and succeed. 


Teacher Scholarships


Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all forms of learning have moved to online platforms. A teacher is required to be equipped with the required ICT tools and stable internet bandwidth to provide quality education to students. School and college teachers can also avail of financial assistance in terms of scholarships. 


All India Council for Technical Education, National ICT Scholarship Award for School T organisation searchers, Fulbright Distinguished Award in Teaching Program, and Teach India Fellowship are few schemes that offer financial aid to teachers. Teachers can procure essential resources for quality education with the help of these mentioned free scholarships in India.


Learning with Vodafone Idea Scholarship


The ‘Learning with Vodafone Idea Scholarship (2021-2022)’ is the most recent scholarship program launched in India. This scholarship allows the students to claim Direct Beneficiary Transfer (DBT) that covers several expenses related to their schooling. Civil society organisations look over the selection process that takes place online. 


Vodafone Idea Foundation offers Rs 20,000 scholarships for students and one lakh cash scholarships for teachers. This year, this scholarship has been launched by P. Balaji, Chief Regulatory and Corporate Affairs Officer. Full-time government teachers and low-income private institution teachers with experience of 3+ years teaching grades above 8th can apply for this scholarship.


All these scholarships are aimed at improving the literacy rate in India along with education quality. With proper knowledge about scholarships, many students can take quality education without being forced to opt for any kind of loan or debts. Not only will these scholarships reduce the financial pressure on the family, but also encourage more parents to push their children forward to learn more and better!
